Style: fall must haves

Style:  fall must haves

The time has come for leggings and boots, scarves and knitted beanies.  I am horribly sad to be putting my summer clothes away until next year, but I am always excited when my winter/fall attire can be enjoyed again.  Living in Portland limits the amount of time that I can let my skin breathe and enjoy the feeling of warm sun on my bare skin.  I always try and squeeze as much out of my summer wardrobe as I can, but I am a little depressed about putting them away.  I may have shed a tear or two this time.  Maybe.

When I am feeling down about my clothes I like to buy new ones!  Here are some of my current loves for this chilly season.  Hope you enjoy them also!

I believe that everyone should have at least 3 pairs of boots.  I happen to be addicted to them, so I have quite a few pairs.  I know I usually keep everything pretty inexpensive on this blog, but I want to take a moment and point out these Bandolino riding boots pictured above.  Boots are an investment piece, and although I am not able to invest $500 in a pair, I am comfortable with spending $100 for something that I really love.  I am in LOVE with wedge booties for fall!  I cannot get enough of them, after purchasing a slate grey pair recently I had to add the black ones to my collection.  I was a sucker for the cheetah flat in the fall, and my obsession has resurfaced in the form of booties!  These are a steal for under $45

If Fall doesn't scream legging season, I don't know what does!  Leggings are a must have for sure, and they are incredibly stylish now and versatile.  I am in LOVE with camo pops for fall, legging form or traditional denim....I'm not picky.  The floral leggings above are stealing my heart, but to be honest it is the faux leather leggings that have me drooling over here!  I have been channeling my inner Fergie by "working on my fitness" and trying to pay particular attention to my rear end.  About a bazillion squats later, I feel pretty confidant rocking these babies!

Printed cardigans are a new addition to my fall wardrobe, and I am in love with pretty much all of them from Forever21.  Which is probably why all of the above frocks are Forever21.  Just to mention, the Untamed Tiger Eyes sweater is NOT a cardigan, but I fell in love with it -on another level-and had to include it.  this color cascade cardigan is screaming my name, while I patiently await it's arrival.  I ordered it as soon as I saw it! The maxi cardigan is new to me, and I adore this pattern!  I am a little weary that I won't be able to rock it very often, as it's a bold statement piece.  But at under $40, this is a steal!

Floral Lace Scarf by Maurices, Feeling Pouty Scarf by GoJane, Luxe Bejeweled Scarf by Forever21

In previous years I was incredibly proud of my scarf collection.  That being said, I really needed to beef it up this year.  I realized that my daughters adore layers just as much as their mommy.  This floral lace scarf is perfect for fall, it's not to heavy and I cannot get over how much I love the fringe detail.  Last spring (before blogging) I DIYed a pair of pants that I saw Megan from ilovemegan.com created with an old pair of white jeans and various shades of red and pink lipstick.  The pants were a major hit!  This Feeling Poury scarf reminded me of that project.  I love this Luxe Bejeweled scarf, again perfect for fall with it's light weight fabric.

Femme Polka Dot Tights by Forever21, Jacquard Rose Tights from CharlotteRusse, Lace Up Knee Highs by Maurices

Tights are always a must have for fall, but I am infatuated with the plethora of pattern options all over the web! These polka dot tights have been a staple so far in my fall wardrobe.  I have not recieved these Jacquard rose tights as of yet, but I am incredibly excited about their arrival!  Now, knee high socks and over the knee socks are going to be huge this season, think layers and run with them! These lace up knee highs are adorable and versatile!

So what are some of your fall must haves?
