Pretty: mani Monday Halloween edition
Happy Halloweek! I am ever so proud to bring you my first attempt at a bloody mani! I was inspired by the many photos I found on Pinterest and just had to give this a try. My costume this is Janine Melnitz, the receptionist from the Ghostbusters Movie. Specifically Ghostbusters 2, because she had that killer red bob and BIG black glasses. Janine was always one of my favorite supporting roles as a kid. I truly believe that Annie Potts had a strong influence in my life, and my array of "accents" that I use throughout the day.
Update: Here is a photo of me as Janine on Halloween in the Office.
I wait all year for this week, I now understand why they call it the Hipsters Christmas. I'm Jewish, and we celebrate Hanukkah for 7 days, why shouldn't we celebrate Halloween for the entire week? This was a simple style to create, I used white for the base color, then used a blood red polish for the drips.
I created the drips with a sharpened pencil of all things! I dropped a bit of polish onto a piece of wax paper, and then dunked my sharpened pencil into the red polish and ran id down my nails. I like how each nail looks different than the others, they do not look like a decal, they look AMAZING. I wish I would have taken better pictures, but my phone had to do the trick this week.
I hope you all have an amazing Halloween, I will be celebrating all week, so dubbed this Halloweek!
